Just found out about your site.
I'm one of the "dry folks" with "too much time on
their hands" who is a PTSA officer and active
parent volunteer. I'd like to pass along information
about two upcoming events for students:
1) Study Skills Workshop: Tips From the Experts
will happen Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Little
Theater. We have tutors, teachers, and students
who will share their tips for studying, taking
notes, preparing for tests, and improving grades.
Refreshments and hopefully Afro-Haitian dance
performance too-- all for free!

2) BHS Workday and Dedication of the new Campus
Green.
The Workday is from 9-12:30. We'll be picking up
trash (prize for most collected), weeding, watering,
and planting hundreds of red and yellow tulip and
daffodil bulbs.
The Campus Green Dedication is at 1:00 p.m. and
includes a family picnic, student entertainment,
and student artwork display. All families are
invited. PTSA will provide drinks and dessert.

Hello again, it's Chris Johnigan. Sadly, over the summer, my request for a transfer to Berkeley High was abruptly shot down by the folks down at the district office. Well, I had grown all the more desperate to leave Deer Valley High, so I transferred over to the other school in my district, Antioch High. See ya.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll mention it next update.

Chris: Sorry to hear it. Aye, virtually all transfers were denied this year. Not really anything to do.
