Weeding
[Wednesday Mar 24.04 ¬ 9:51 PM]Thanks to Cynthia Papermaster for sending this one in.
What: BHS WORKDAY THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 28, 9-12 NOON
Who: Students, parents, teachers, staff, friends of BHS.
Why: To make the school look better. There are weeds all over the place and Val can’t do it alone.
How: Show up on Sunday morning and register at the table in the lower courtyard. Then work on any area where there are weeds and trash—pull weeds, put them in the green compost barrels, and pick up trash. We’re also planting some flowers to “color up” the campus in the school colors of red and yellow..
BOTTLED WATER, SNACKS, DISPOSABLE GLOVES, TRASH BAGS, AND SOME TOOLSARE PROVIDED BY THE PTSA AND DEVELOPMENT GROUP.
Bring; work gloves, sunscreen/hat, energy.
This volunteer project is fun, but plan to get dirty and sweaty!
Background: We’ve had 2 or 3 Workdays each year for the past 3 years. Volunteers have included lots of students, lots of parents, and a couple of teachers and staff. Usually 30-80 people come out to help. It’s very wonderful.
