Summer what?

[Tuesday Sep 6.05 ¬ 5:55 PM]

It’s been a week.

Can you feel it? The summer already feels distant to most of us. We’ve sunk back into our old school routines. We know generally where our classes are now. Maybe we don’t even know the room numbers, just the locations. Hallways are emptier during passing periods now that students have figured out deliberate routes from one class to the next. Which isn’t to say that they aren’t crowded—they still are—but just not as much as those first few days.

Well, not everyone’s quite settled in their routines. Changes are still going around. Though the deadline for turning in schedule changes has passed, counselors are still hard at work turning them back. I know, I haven’t gotten mine back yet.

Being a senior, I have a lot of important dates to keep in mind. Because I have this website, though, I can use it to help any other seniors out there keep track of important things that are probably on their to-do lists as well.

The most important thing is that senior profiles are due soon. If you’re applying to colleges that require a counselor recommendation, then you’ll need to turn one of these in before September 9th if you’re applying for any early decision or early action or September 23rd otherwise.

Also, remember to get your photos taken for the “Senior Formals” in the yearbook. I don’t know what exactly the due date is on these things, but I think it’s fairly soon. You sign up for an appointment at abcharrell.com.

Tomorrow is a late start day. You can see the schedule here (“Minimum Day”). Don’t show up at 8:30 expecting class.
