CAS versus the Larger School

[Thursday Jan 11.07 ¬ 8:53 PM]

CAS versus the Large School
CAS has a school wide rep of being the small school for slackers. It’s so bad that even teachers believe that for whatever reason. (Mr. Teel, Mr. Cardon, Mr. Miller). I believe this reputation is malarkey and being a student in CAS my opinion might be biased but I’ve got to get the truth out. CAS has just as hard a curriculum as the classes in the big school except homework is assigned a little bit less in CAS. The difference that makes CAS equal to the big school is that the discussions held in the class are much more interactive and informing then the discussions held in big school classes. In CAS I have learned how to apply critical thinking to everything discussed and learned how to question set statements. Classes outside of CAS involve the students much less and the teachers running the classes don’t pay nearly as much attention to each individual student. There are many assets that CAS guarantees that the big school can’t give and no matter what the rep about CAS is I know in my heart that CAS is superior to the big school in many aspects. To be fair I’ll also point out some of CAS’ faults such as having the core system in place where students are forced to have all classes with the same group of people. I believe that all classes should have variety and having the same group of kids in all your classes gets really irritating and boring. Alright, I would like to write more but my time is up and I have better things to do such as procrastinating by surfing the internet and watching TV so I’ll stop boring you guys and quit while I’m ahead.
