The Garbage Pile

[Wednesday Feb 14.07 ¬ 8:30 PM]

I was walking through the courtyard today on my way to the administration building when I saw the huge pile of garbage piling up in the middle of the courtyard for the tenth time. It donned on me while I was walking that this is a pointless statement for a pointless cause. So a lot of garbage is dumped onto the streets randomly by homeless people but that’s it. We’re not going to be able to stop homeless people from dumping their trash on the streets so what’s the point of making a huge pile of it in the middle of the courtyard? I mean that really grinds my gears. Not only is the courtyard beginning to stink but it’s also a waste of my time. Instead of being able to roam the courtyard at will I have to continue walking out of my way to get by it when I’m walking through the main entrance of the C-Building. That means every morning I have to walk by this stinking pile of garbage and be reminded at how pointless the statement is. Berkeley High is a very mellow school when it comes to these kinds of things but when are they going to say ‘Enough is enough’ and remove this pile of garbage. I guess, I don’t have a problem with students planting it there but Berkeley High allowing the pile to stay there and keep getting bigger has started to gradually get on my nerves. I mean it’s been there since the beginning of the week. If anybody has any idea on whos idea it was to start piling garbage bags full of garbage in the middle of the courtyard I would like to know. I don’t have much information on it as I write this article and I would like to give people who might be part of this action to have their chance at explaining themselves.
