Alive and Unchanged
[Wednesday Feb 26.03 ¬ 11:41 PM]The ailing computer has been healed, benedicted, and sent back to the digital salt mines. The site is alive once more.
Just in time, too. Things have an irritating habit of continuing to happen regardless of whether you’re ready for them. I need a Stop button.
Some highlights:
- Exit exams, which are essentially to make sure you’re smart enough to leave high school, are happening on March 5 (that’s Tuesday) through March 7. Customarily they’re taken by sophomores, if the word “customarily” can be used with something as neophytical as the Exit exam. In any case, information will be supplied if you need to know it.
- Here’s something fun: The Vagina Monologues, acclaimed in all sorts of ways, are coming to town. In celebration of V-Day (you heard that right), a performance of the show will take place in the Florence Schwimley Little Theatre, February 28, 8:00. Tickets at the door, cheap enough. Check it out.
- Small schools.
- Site council. Did I mention this before? I should have. Bad. The Site Council are the guys and girls who decide what to do with our money, or in our case, lack thereof. This affects you.
- Open house tomorrow, Thursday; if you’re a parent and you care enough to do this again, bug your kid to tell you his schedule, head by the school at 6:00, leave by 8:40 or so.
- Youth Together’s club meetings have a time and place now. The first and third Tuesday, lunchtime, room C223. First meeting on March 4. Drop by — free food.
Some fun things are happening with the site. With any luck they will stop happening and condensify into something usable fairly soon, but not quite yet — in any case, we’re not as dead as we look, so stop poking us. Thank you.
For your amusement: This news post has used three invented words. If you can find them all you’re either a copy editor or have too much time on your hands.

[Monday Feb 24.03 ¬ 5:59 PM]The dearth of news lately has been a direct result of my computer suffering a digital breakdown that required professional help. It will be back in a day or two, hale and hearty, but until then I’m without an easy way to update the site. Patience and wait.
The Events page will be (or should be) still current.
