Alive Again
[Thursday May 6.04 ¬ 1:09 AM]All right, all right, I’m back.
Nobody wants to hear the excuses, so I’ll leave off—SATs, APs, the works, and it’s all got a way of conspiring to hit you simultaneously. In any case, I’m still dropping in here whenever I can get my head up for air.
What’s been happening? Lots. The new building had its official opening, with moderate fanfare, less so than there might have been because it’s been in use for months already; it is unquestionably gorgeous and I hope it stays that way. I haven’t eaten in the cafeteria yet, but have heard mixed reviews. One of these days I will.
The pool has been opened as well, and the gym is either open or opening. In short, the D building is well and truly inaugurated, and now the only question is how long it will stay pleasant. Stay tuned for that one.
The junior prom happened and I suppose it was nice. Haven’t heard many reports. I didn’t go.
AP tests happened and are still happening, resulting in lots of absences and scheduling catastrophes, as per the usual way of things.
Clubs and events are running rampant, and you should be keeping one eye or ear cocked on the bulletin in case anything that interests you should come up.
Monday, the 10th, is a minimum day.
So here’s the deal with the Contact page.
The information gnomes have been toiling away to help winnow down the big honking “Temporary” section of the database, which is essentially comprised of good information that I have been unable to categorize into the main lists. An annoyance, and because of the ponderous size of the dataset, a challenge, but more than half of it is gone now, and efforts are underway to deal with the rest of them. I’ll keep you informed of updates.
Isn’t education swell?
