Swamped

Yeah, it's summer time and I am swamped with homework. It's those darn AP classes rubbing our faces in the dirt going "that'll teach you to be an over achiever!" Okay, okay lesson learned! Now please take back those either 14 or 11 english essays! Yeah, as Lauren mentioned the packet contains 14 essays but apparently a Ms. Randle declared the New Yorker (more interesting) essays void. The packet is also a mishmashed combination of something along the lines of every AP english packet ever made. Thus the table of contents lists essays not included and doesn't list several that are. No, Berkeley High is never frustrating in the least.

So, why don't I just skip on over to our new handy dandy contact sheet and take our own advice by actually talking to a teacher? Yeah, I was, when I saw Mr. French listed as a teacher. Wait, is it just me/some ridiculously fantastical rumor or wasn't he fired? Didn't one of his classes view or glance some porn on the projector? Didn't he return to class only to get escorted back out? I mean, if not, feel free to admonish my gossip, but if so that kind of makes me question the validity of the contact sheet. Not that I am suggesting the official Berkeley High site is updated regularly or anything.

Well, I found that some of the small schools have more recent lists of teachers, so I'll list some that are beneficial.

Anywho, I probably have to run off and bury my head in a textbook now but I can't wait to find out how this school year will go. The suspense is killing me, can't wait to discover the latest wacky sub or if THE BBQ CLUB WILL EVER INCLUDE FEMALES?

We really hate titles that are as long as novels, but sometimes we just have a lot to say.

Site maintenance is under way!! We the powers that be have learned html in the hopes of bettering ourselves and bh.org. If we could direct your attention to the bell schedule, contact list, and events page, you will notice that the last updated dates on the bottoms are very recent!

On another note entirely, school is starting up soon and there is a ton of summer homework. I know the very idea has you groaning, but this issue must be addressed. START NOW. It's an order. There is no questioning our commands. However, there is the confusion of, what is the homework?? For academic choice incoming juniors (specifically) there is the idea of writing anywhere from 11-14 essay responses. If anyone has more information on which essays should be responded to, please clairfy.

For the moment, we're just cranking out news. When the year gets going, we promise to include our unique perspectives on major events. Witty comments coming soon.

Plans for the Future

We realize that things are mightily out of date. Berkeleyhigh.org was (not quite) officially on a two year hiatus. Mai and I inherited it when we were but wee freshmen and couldn't take the reins of such an impressive site given our lack of high school experience. But now, we're back and better than ever as juniors for the 09-10 school year. We have new helping hands, feet, elbows, etc. to help us with our bright shiny ideas.

The school year is coming up fast. We hope to get this loverly place up and running by the first day, September 2nd. More news/info/crazy talk will follow soon!
