Site Overview
This is a pretty big site.
Now, if you were in a big city, or a big state, you could buy a map to find your way around. If you were in a big building, you could ask one of the residents how to get from place to place. (And if you’re lost in Berkeley High, of course, you’re just screwed.)
But due to the unfortunate fact that we don’t actually exist, a road map wouldn’t serve much use. However, there is hope. To the rescue is this handy-dandy site overview. Here, you’ll see described all of the various areas of this site in detail, as well as a link to get there.
So we can’t promise that you’ll never be lost again, but if you are, at least it’s not our fault.

Updates
-
News
This is the front page of the site. It’s the most frequently updated section, usually receiving new content every day or two. It contains rambling by the site maintainers about new happenings at Berkeley High, and will tell all about the things you should know. In format, it’s similar to a journal or “weblog”; it has both straight-up facts, and some opinionated commentary. Every effort is made to differentiate between the two. Usually. -
News Archive
The archive of the front-page news items. At any given time, approximately seven days worth of news will be displayed on the News page; additionally, you can use the right-hand nav bar to view stories up to four weeks old. However, for items even older than that, you’ll need to use this archive. Every news item that ever graced the site is available here, listed by week. -
Report News
Got something to report? You can mail it in to us, or you could head by this page, which has an easy-to-use form that will pass along messages to us, quick as the wind. -
Features
Although most of the writing on this site occurs on the News page, every so often we end up writing something which is either too long to put there, or isn’t as topical as most news items and could stand being re-read several months down the road. Such things are saved under the Features section. -
Events
Upcoming events and dates of interest. Deadlines, holidays, shindigs, anything that we know about or you tell us about. Remember, if it’s not there, it probably doesn’t mean we’re ignoring it; we just haven’t heard. So tell us already.

Contact Sheet
Ever wanted to email your teacher and ask him a question? Give the principal a phone call and complain about the bathrooms? Well, you probably shouldn’t, because that won’t accomplish anything. However, if you do want to get in touch with a member of the faculty, this is the place to go. It’s a somewhat comprehensive list of teachers, administrators, counselors, and just about everybody else we could find, and it’s got phone numbers, email addresses, and room numbers. It doesn’t have everybody, first because not all of the staff have public contact information, second because they tend to be rather secretive about what info they do have, and third because the school has such a high turnover rate that if you blink too soon, your English teacher could disappear. This list was created by research; however, it can only be maintained by public support. If you know some information that we can list, or you know that some information already listed is wrong, please let us know. -
Bell Schedule
Quite simply, this is an online version of the school’s bell schedule. It shows when every period starts and ends. -
Graduation Requirements
Planning on going to college? Joining the Mafia? Enlisting in the Marines? Saving the world? Some of these things require graduating from high school, some of them don’t; if you’ve chosen a path that does, then you’ll be needing a diploma. This is a full listing of what you need to have done before you can waltz on out of here. -
Community Links
As much as we hate to admit it, we’re not the only website in the world. Here are some of the others which might interest you. -
Bulletin
A daily-updated showcase of the Student Daily Bulletin, which is otherwise pretty hard to get your hands on. Updated for the next day’s bulletin every evening. -
Forum
Our discussion board for general chattering about whatever interests you. The virtual equivalent of a water cooler; get together here and talk with fellow students, staff, or whoever cares to join in. Get homework help, ask questions, solicit opinions, complain, etc. It’s all here.
