Browser Upgrade

Let’s talk web browsers. Your “web browser” is the program on your computer that you use to access the Internet. The thing that you’re using right now, to read this text, is your web browser.

But all web browsers are not created equal. Specifically, some of them aren’t very good, and some of them are good but out of date. They incorporate technology which is old and no longer “with the times.”

However, this site does use technology that’s absolutely current; it was designed and created using the most up-to-date standards there are. As a result, if you’re using a web browser that doesn’t completely understand these things, then you’re probably not going to be viewing this site the way it was meant to be viewed.

We’ve gone to every effort to make sure that you can still use the site. Hopefully, no matter what web browser you’re using, it should allow you to — at least — see the site and read the contents. But it won’t look as good, and it might be confusing.

So, what’s the solution? Upgrade to a newer web browser. There are some very good modern browsers which you can get absolutely free; most of them are just as simple and easy as whatever you’re using right now, they should work just as well on your computer, and they’ll let you experience the Internet much more fully.

[At one time, we had a link here pointing to a list of some good, modern browsers to help people out. Unfortunately, the list no longer exists. Your best bet will be to look online for Netscape, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Opera, or Safari, and simply install the latest versions. If you don’t feel comfortable doing so, ask a more computer-oriented friend for help.]
